"Liberian Boy"

from $12.00

This painting was inspired by my brother’s mission in Liberia for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

One of the things he talks about most is the children there — their joy, energy, kindness, and the way they bring light to the people around them. Even in difficult circumstances, he is constantly inspired by their resilience, faith, and happiness.

Hearing his experiences made me reflect on how joy is not always connected to possessions or comfort. Some of the happiest people can also be the most humble, grateful, and full of love.

I wanted this piece to capture that feeling — the innocence, strength, and light that my brother has seen in the people he serves.

This painting is a reminder to me that God’s children can be found all over the world, each carrying divine worth, beauty, and stories that deserve to be seen.
