About the Artist

I’m Alexis Harline! As an artist, I create paintings that reflect what it means to follow God—even when it’s hard. My husband, our dog Ruby, and I live in Wichita, Kansas. I graduated with a degree in Art Education from Brigham Young University–Idaho. I always imagined myself teaching in a public school classroom, but life had other plans. Now, I paint full time and teach art out of my home, which has been such a fun and fulfilling experience.

Even though my sister, mom, grandma, and great-grandma are all incredible artists, I didn’t start painting until later in life. I first turned to art as a way to cope with some difficult changes during college, but it quickly grew into a passion. While serving a mission in Bakersfield, California during the COVID-19 pandemic, I leaned on painting as a source of peace and expression.

I’ve always been drawn to art that made me feel understood. That kind of connection in art has helped me countless times, both spiritually and emotionally. My hope is to create artwork that helps others feel that same sense of understanding, connection, and testimony.

Hopefully, you are moved by my art the same way I am!
